Job summary

Capita HAAS is recruiting a Clinical Assessor/Functional Specialist in Hereford to meet with benefit claimants in person or via video, write in-depth reports and advise on clinical recommendations. The role offers a structured, hybrid pattern with training and progression possibilities.

You will apply your nursing or therapy background to conduct assessments, interpret evidence, and use IT systems to support decision-making while enjoying a balanced schedule with no weekend or night shifts.

Qualifications

• NMC/HCPC registration and post-registration experience.
• Strong report writing and analytical skills.
• Ability to work to structured targets and deadlines.
• Good IT skills and remote working capability.

Responsibilities

• Conduct functional assessments (in person, video or telephone).
• Analyse clinical information and supporting evidence.
• Write detailed evidence-based reports for DWP/DfC decisions.
• Use IT systems to support clinical decision-making and reporting.
