Job summary

Capita HAAS in Aberystwyth is seeking Clinical Assessors/Functional Specialists to conduct structured assessments, write in-depth reports, and provide clinical recommendations for benefits claimants. The role offers hybrid working (clinic and home) with regular hours and no weekends.

You will be HCPC/NMC registered with at least 1 year post-registration experience, strong communication, and the ability to produce detailed reports. Training is provided, with clear career pathways and benefits.

Qualifications

• NMC registered Nurse (RGN, RMN or RNLD) or HCPC registered professional with a valid PIN
• Minimum of one year’s post-registration experience
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to produce clear, accurate and detailed reports
• Comfortable working quickly to meet structured targets
• Good IT skills including Microsoft Office and ability to learn new systems remotely
• Excellent observational and communication skills and ability to listen and empathise
• Driving licence or transport for assessment centre work
• Right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship)

Responsibilities

• Carry out structured assessments to understand health condition impact on daily living
• Produce high quality, evidence-based reports to support DWP decisions
• Complete up to 3 assessments per day, face to face, video call or telephone
