Job summary

Capita HAAS in Northampton is seeking a Clinical Assessor/Functional Specialist to meet benefit claimants in person or via video, write in-depth reports and make clinical recommendations in a flexible, structured working model.

The role offers excellent training, 3+ days per week, weekday hours, and a comprehensive benefits package including pension, life assurance and wellbeing perks.

Qualifications

• NMC registered Nurse or HCPC registered professional with valid PIN and no restrictions.
• Minimum of one year’s post-registration experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to produce clear, accurate reports.
• Comfortable working to structured targets.
• Good IT skills and ability to learn new systems remotely.
• A driving licence or access to transport for assessment centre working.

Responsibilities

• Carry out structured assessments to understand how a person’s health condition affects their day-to-day life.
• Produce high quality detailed, evidence-based reports that support DWP decisions.
• Complete up to 3 assessments per day, either face to face at one of our clinics, via video call or on the telephone.
