Job summary

Newark and Sherwood District Council is seeking an Assistant Digital Systems Analyst to join the Housing Systems Team within ICT and Digital Services. The role focuses on supporting, configuring, and developing specialist software for social housing services, working with internal users and external suppliers to ensure system reliability and progressive enhancement.

You will contribute to system configuration, data quality improvements, and broader business processes.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting business-critical systems, ideally within local government or housing services.
• Curious mindset with the ability to ask questions and seek solutions.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent time management.
• Clear and confident communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively and independently.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and a background in ICT services.

Responsibilities

• Provide system support for specialist social housing systems in line with SLAs.
• Monitor and improve data quality, resolving issues promptly.
• Assist with system configuration and development to enhance business processes and functionality.
• Use SQL for data extraction and functionality development.
• Keep accurate records across all areas, including support tickets, project documentation, and system manuals.
• Promote best practice in system use and data quality through training and coaching.
