Thurrock Council is seeking a diligent Business Systems Support Officer to help manage the Council’s digital systems. You will coordinate meetings, maintain project plans and support system upgrades, working with service teams and external suppliers to ensure reliable, effective digital platforms for residents and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Experience in a busy public sector or customer-focused environment.
• Ability to organise work, manage priorities and keep clear records.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate meetings, user groups and activities relating to business systems.
• Maintain project plans, progress updates and action logs.
• Keep work-tracking boards up to date (e.g., Planner).
• Support system upgrades, testing and implementation of new functionality.
• Record development requests and liaise with suppliers.
• Respond to user queries and escalate complex issues.
• Draft process maps, workflows and user guidance.
• Support development, integration and quality checks of digital portals.
