Job summary

Sherman Corporation is seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead the HVAC service and plumbing teams in Lewes, Delaware. You will drive daily operations, ensure outstanding customer service, and manage schedules, parts, and returns to keep jobs moving smoothly.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of leadership experience, 5+ years in a skilled trade, and a proven ability to coach staff, manage budgets, and analyze performance metrics to boost profitability.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of leadership or supervisory experience
• 5+ years in a skilled trade, HVAC preferred
• Experience managing departmental budgets and metrics
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Master HVAC License and EPA 608 Certification preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Lead the daily operations of the HVAC service and maintenance departments.
• Coordinate technician schedules, dispatch, and on-call rotations.
• Oversee service calls from start to finish, coordinating parts and visits.
• Coach and develop a team of 8-10 HVAC Service Technicians.
• Review invoices, notes, and customer recommendations for accuracy.
• Monitor departmental performance to improve revenue and customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with office staff and leadership to grow the service department.
