Hussmann is seeking an Area Service Manager to lead service operations across a regional customer base. The role oversees contracts, emergencies, quoted work, renewals, and safety compliance, while developing teams and driving profitability.

Ideal candidates have 5–10 years in service management, strong leadership, and proficiency in MS Office. Travel within the region and 24/7 availability are expected alongside a focus on customer relationships and safety culture.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5–10 years of experience in service ops or related field.
• Knowledge of refrigeration/HVAC preferred.
• Strong leadership and business acumen.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to be available 24/7.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
• Willingness to travel within the region.

Responsibilities

• Oversee service operations including contracts, emergency service, quoted work, renewals, and warranty.
• Develop and supervise field service teams; drive customer satisfaction and relationships.
• Develop safety culture; perform safety inspections and investigations.
• Plan and maintain budgets; identify cost saving and risk mitigation measures.
• Forecast budgets and project budgets; provide risk management.
• Coordinate scheduling, contracts, and risk analysis processes.
• Conduct performance appraisals; manage hiring, promotion, and development.
• Coach and onboard new service team members.
• Analyze market conditions and data trends to improve service performance.
• Collaborate across departments to address process concerns and invoicing.
