Mott MacDonald is seeking a Secondary Design Interface Engineer for its Energy unit, Transmission & Distribution. You will coordinate secondary systems for HV substations, prepare specs and diagrams, and ensure compliance with IEC/IEEE standards. Travel for site surveys will be required as part of project delivery.

The role emphasizes collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams, stakeholder engagement, and delivering robust designs within a hybrid work model in the UK.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in secondary system design within HV power industry.
• Strong knowledge of protection and control systems and IEC/IEEE standards.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate secondary system designs with primary designers and project managers.
• Prepare technical specifications, drawings, and documentation for secondary systems.
• Create interface diagrams, wiring diagrams, and cable schedules.
• Perform battery sizing, voltage drop, and cable sizing calculations.
• Ensure designs comply with UK standards and client requirements.
• Engage with stakeholders and travel for site surveys.
