A reputable education agency is seeking a creative and inspirational Humanities Teacher for a mixed comprehensive school in Southwark, starting January 2026. The role involves teaching History and Geography to KS3 and KS4. You will join a supportive department with excellent resources. This temporary position may lead to a permanent role. Enhanced DBS check required.
Humanities Teacher – Southwark – Mixed School
A creative and inspirational Humanities teacher to teach History and Geography to KS3 to KS4 in a very reputable mixed comprehensive located in Southwark. The position is due to a resignation and will be offered on a maternity supply basis to start in January 2026. The school has over 1,200 students with 350.
The school has excellent facilities and the Humanities faculty can boast interactive whiteboards in each class, purpose-built ICT suites and a wealth of resources both on and offline. You will be joining an existing team of 9 including experienced support staff and technicians and the Humanitiesteam is excellent with ASTs and highly experienced teachers to work with and learn from. You will mainly teach General Humanities from year 7-11. The school prides itself on behaviour and attainment and in 2022 the OFSTED inspection graded the school as "good" with outstanding features. Your timetable will consist mainly of teaching General Humanities from year 7-11. You will work with support staff, technicians and experienced teachers in the department.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
