Permanent 4-5 days per week, 3-4 preferably in the office

VisionFR is excited to be helping a dynamic, relative start-up company in the EV space – A new and Dynamic concept. The company is around permanent 30 staff and growing; based in the UK and also operating in Europe. They are professional, bright yet fun and looking for an energetic individual to join them as their HR & Office Manager.

The HR & Office Manager will embody and promote the company values, playing a pivotal role in fostering a culture that reflects the company mission. Your expertise will be crucial in creating a supportive, engaging and efficient work environment that resonates with the company values of trust, humanity, and humour. This role demands a proactive, adaptable, and strategic thinker who can work closely with the entire team to drive HR processes and ensure a supportive, efficient and inclusive workplace, aligning with the company commitment to build a positive future.

Key accountabilities

As the HR Manager, your proactive approach and process-driven mindset will be vital in:

  • Operating at both an operational and strategic level to support the business in achieving its aims
  • Guiding and supporting employees and management on HR-related issues, with an emphasis on proactive solutions
  • Administering benefits, compensation and pay processes.
  • Ensuring the effectiveness of end-to-end employment processes like onboarding, performance management, development, and off-boarding
  • Championing legal compliance and the introduction of best practices, focusing on proactive risk management.
  • Assessing employee engagement and productivity, with a proactive stance on recommending and implementing improvement actions
  • Designing communication strategies that empower employees, facilitating proactive feedback and involvement.
  • Developing proactive engagement, recognition, development, wellness and diversity programs.
  • Building a strong partnership with senior managers to foster a culture of trust, recognition, and proactive engagement.

As the Office Manager you will:

  • Maintain smooth functioning of all office systems with an approachable and proactive approach to
  • problem-solving.
  • Manage office equipment, supplies, and facility upkeep, anticipating needs and addressing issues
  • promptly.
  • Manage the relationships with vendors and suppliers including cleaners, landlord, IT and security etc,
  • maintaining strong relationships, resolving issues efficiently.
  • Oversee service contracts with a forward-thinking mindset, ensuring effective compliance and cost savings
  • or improvements are made where viable.
  • Manage the onsite food ordering and deliveries, ensuring staff members needs are met and savings are made where possible.
  • Coordinate all internal events, including setup, equipment requirements, and catering arrangements, seeking support from colleagues when needed.
  • Work with the CEO’s EA on proactively preparing for large meetings, ensuring all technical and logistical needs are anticipated and met, for example Town Halls.

Skills & Experience

Our Client is looking for a part-time HR Manager with:

  • A degree in HRM or related field and/or CIPD level 5 or 7 qualified.
  • Demonstrable experience in collaborating with management to achieve company aims, with a focus on proactive and strategic HR solutions.
  • Several years as an HR generalist, with a strong grounding in all HR aspects, emphasizing process improvement and proactive initiatives.
  • Self-motivation, exceptional organizational and time management abilities, thriving in ambiguous situations by being proactive and adaptable.
  • A strong commercial focus, with the ability to understand and align HR strategies with business objectives.
  • The ability to develop strong working relationships across all levels, collaborating effectively both geographically and functionally.
  • Experience dealing EU offices or EU employment regulations from an HR perspective
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
  • Language skills in either French, Spanish or Italian and advantage
