Location: Northwest (commutable to Birchwood Park)

Salary: Up to £38,000 + £3,000 Car Allowance + Overtime + Benefits

NEOS Engineering is proudly recruiting on behalf of a leading UK organisation for an experienced and proactive Health & Safety Advisor. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands‑on H&S professional who enjoys variety, autonomy, and working closely with clients across diverse project environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement safe operational procedures, identifying hazards across all project sites.
  • Ensure all contractors are fully inducted and adhere to site safety requirements.
  • Act as CDM Site Manager/Principal Contractor when required, overseeing all project H&S activities.
  • Issue and manage Permits to Work, including General, Hot Work, Confined Space, and Excavation.
  • Conduct and regularly review risk assessments to maintain safe working practices.
  • Provide specialist advice on fire safety, hazardous substances, noise, machinery safeguarding, CDM 2015, and occupational health.
  • Carry out site audits and communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Deliver tailored H&S support, training, and guidance to clients.
  • Produce comprehensive management reports detailing progress, risks, and required actions.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of HSE legislation and industry changes.
  • Support clients through accreditation and compliance audit processes.
What We're Looking For
  • Based in the Northwest, commutable to Birchwood Park.
  • NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (essential).
  • Strong experience in a similar Health & Safety role, ideally including CDM site management.
  • Excellent understanding of current HSE legislation and best practice.
  • Strong communication, problem‑solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Positive “can‑do” attitude with flexibility to travel as required.
  • Full UK driving licence and own vehicle.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office applications.
  • Able to engage effectively with clients and colleagues at all levels.
