Introduction

The HR Systems and Data Team is responsible for the application support and development of the new iTrent HR and Payroll System, enabling users to fully utilize the applications. The team provides leadership and technical advice on system applications to maximize productivity and performance.

The team also delivers insightful HR management information, key workforce indicators, and analysis to support strategic decision-making by management teams.

The Role

This role involves providing HR systems development and support, mentoring colleagues across a range of key applications serving HR, and ensuring the effective use of these systems within Parliament. The role includes providing high-level HR advice, guidance, and support related to HR systems.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing leadership and technical advice on HR applications to customers.
  • Leading troubleshooting efforts for system problems and customer inquiries.
  • Developing reports using various report-writing or data extraction tools.
  • Advancing the strategic objectives of the business through HR applications development.
  • Supporting key system interfaces.
  • Implementing upgrades and changes following controlled procedures.
  • Planning and delivering projects.
  • Identifying customer training needs and ensuring adequate training for users.
  • Providing senior technical and specialist input into service level targets and change management procedures.

Skills and Experience

To succeed in this role, you should demonstrate:

  • Extensive experience in developing and supporting iTrent HR applications, particularly in configuring and managing Payroll and Core HR modules, along with advanced Excel skills and the ability to analyze large data sets.
  • Business analysis experience, including process mapping and requirements gathering, with knowledge of database administration and data management.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills in technical and service delivery environments.
  • Proven ability to manage competing customer support and project priorities.
  • A commitment to promoting the culture of the House, maintaining principles of equality, diversity, and inclusion at all times.
