Job description

Ealing Council is looking to recruit a HR System Analyst (iTrent) who has application support skills across MHR iTrent and Business Objects.

Ideally, you will have experience with application support for HR/Payroll systems, preferably iTrent. However, candidates with comprehensive system expertise in other HRIS systems will also be considered. This is a hybrid role, requiring a minimum of three days per week on-site.

The primary objective of this Systems Analyst (Business Systems) role is to support the development, implementation, and maintenance of modern technology-based solutions to ensure the efficient operation of the Council’s HR and Payroll processes. This role involves operationalising the Council’s HRIS systems, managing system elements such as accounts, workflows, and integrations, and providing multi-level system support across the organisation.

Key Duties and Responsibilities include:

  1. System Development and Management:
  • Support core systems’ design, development, and maintenance, ensuring they meet organisational standards and user requirements.
  • Assist in developing and managing integration solutions for seamless data flow between systems.
  • Coordinate system upgrades and enhancements, working closely with vendors and service providers.
  • Process Optimisation and Workflow Management:
    • Review and optimise workflows and processes to improve efficiency and compliance.
    • Implement solutions and best practices to enhance business processes.
  • User Support and Training:
    • Provide support for end-users to ensure service levels and operational efficiency.
    • Assist in developing and delivering training programs, including user guides and induction sessions.
  • Data Management and Reporting:
    • Support initiatives to ensure data integrity and security, adhering to standards such as GDPR.
    • Develop and maintain system reports and dashboards for operational decision-making.
  • Systems or Application-Specific Duties:
    • Act as the primary contact for HR Systems issues, providing multi-level support.
    • Assist in communicating and resolving system incidents in collaboration with the HR Systems supplier.
    • Train end-users on HR Systems self-service features and create user guides.
    • Develop reports using Business Objects.
    • Contribute to the Analytics Data strategy for dashboard manipulation and trend analysis.
    • Provide technical support for Payroll and HR data and processes.
    • Assist in system implementation and upgrades, ensuring minimal disruption.
    • Monitor system performance and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency.
