We are seeking a dedicated HR Officer to join a school in Reading on a temporary basis to cover maternity, 1 day per week. This role requires a professional with expertise in human resources to support key HR operations effectively.

Client Details

You'll be joining a collaborative, hard-working team of educators and administrative staff at a local school in Reading. The school has 30 members of staff and provides education for 300 students, with a specialism in STEM, who are part of a wider trust. You'll be standalone for HR based at the campus, but will have the support of a wider group HR function. Description

The HR Officer will:

  • Support the HR department with recruitment and onboarding processes.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate employee records and documentation.
  • Provide guidance to staff on HR policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate training sessions and development programmes.
  • Prepare HR reports and analyse data for decision-making purposes.
  • Ensure adherence to employment laws and organisational policies.
  • Collaborate with various departments to address HR-related needs.
Profile

A successful HR Officer should have:

  • Previous experience in human resources, ideally within Education but other backgrounds will be considered.
  • Proficiency in HR coordination.
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
  • The ability to communicate effectively and maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
Job Offer
  • Competitive daily rate of circa 130 per day PAYE.
  • Part-time work, with 1 day per week on offer.
