Qualifications

HR Manager - Houghton le Spring

Salary: £40,000 - £43,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications

Location: Houghton le Spring - Office-based role (commuting required)

Hours: Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm (37.5 hours/week)

Join Pacifica and lead HR operations for one of the UK's largest domestic appliance repair companies. We are seeking an experienced HR professional to manage our HR function, advise senior management, and drive employee engagement. This role offers the chance to develop people management practices, support a high-performing team, and make a visible impact across the business.

You may be required to work additional hours from time to time to meet the objectives of this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the day-to-day HR operations and team management
  • Support recruitment, workforce planning, and onboarding
  • Maintain HR policies in line with employment law
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and support to managers
  • Manage employee relations, absence, disciplinary, and grievance cases
  • Administer maternity, paternity, and parental leave processes
  • Conduct exit interviews and track trends
  • Maintain learning and HR databases
Requirements
  • CIPD Level 5 minimum or Level 7 (and to have held this qualification for at least 3 years)
  • At least 3 years' experience managing a HR team or department
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, TUPE, and HR best practice
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional, reliable, and able to handle confidential information
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Full UK Driving Licence required as the role will involve travel to other Pacifica sites as and when required
