Job description

Juice Recruitment is excited to be working in partnership with an independent, nationwide services company in Avonmouth, with the appointment of an HR Advisor to join their depot team.

This is a key role within the business, suited to someone who enjoys a broad remit and is comfortable taking responsibility for HR activity within a standalone capacity at site level. You will work closely with managers and senior stakeholders, providing practical, compliant HR support while helping to embed robust processes as the organisation continues to grow. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone confident in their experience, able to take initiative, and keen to make the role their own over time.

DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage the full recruitment and onboarding lifecycle, including drafting job descriptions, issuing contracts, coordinating inductions, and supporting hiring managers throughout the process.
  • Act as the first point of contact for all employee relations matters, providing clear, confident advice to managers, leading investigations, and supporting disciplinary, grievance, and absence management processes.
  • Oversee performance management processes, including probation reviews, appraisals, and ongoing goal setting, ensuring consistency and best practice across the depot.
  • Support payroll preparation and administer employee benefits, liaising with external providers and internal stakeholders as required.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, HR systems, and documentation, ensuring compliance with UK employment legislation and internal policies.
  • Take ownership of the day-to-day use and development of HR, payroll, and performance systems, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and strengthen processes.
