Job summary

Southern Housing seeks a compassionate Support Worker to assist residents across our housing services. You will follow individual care plans to promote independence, dignity and inclusion within a CQC-regulated environment.

Role involves evenings, weekends and potential sleep-ins; full training and DBS check provided; you’ll work as part of a friendly team and maintain accurate records while safeguarding residents.

Qualifications

• GCSEs including Maths and English required; willingness to work towards NVQ Level 2 in Care.
• No previous experience required; full training and support provided.
• Willingness to work towards an NVQ Level 2 in Care (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Provide care and support in line with individual care plans, promoting independence, choice and inclusion.
• Deliver care across housing schemes, extra care services and within the community.
• Work evenings and weekends; may include sleep in duties and on-call rota.
• Move and handle tasks as required and respond calmly in emergencies.
• Maintain accurate records and reports; uphold safeguarding and dignity of residents.
