Langley is seeking a compassionate Housing Officer to join our team in Eliora, Bedfordshire. This is a permanent, full‑time role (40 hours/week) with some travel and overnight stops, supporting clients and our mission.

The successful candidate will manage risk, advise on Welfare Benefits, inform tenants about rights and responsibilities, and maintain housing records using QLx. A DBS check and right-to-work in the UK are required.

Responsibilities

• Lead in the assessment and management of risk, including security measures to protect the public, staff and others in relation to referrals and letting of properties.
• Provide information and advice about Welfare Benefits, especially Housing Benefit.
• Provide information about tenants’ rights and responsibilities and address occupancy breaches using the Trust’s policies.
• Develop and maintain accurate records including housing management plans and health and safety records using QLx.

About the Role

• Lead in the assessment and management of risk including the operation ofphysical and situational security measures to control the level of risk posed to thepublic, staff and others in relation to the referral and letting of properties.

• Provideinformation and advice about WelfareBenefits especially that of Housing Benefit.

• Provide information about tenants’ rights andresponsibilities, address breaches of occupancy with tenants using the Trust’srelevant policies and procedures.

• Developand maintainaccurate records including correspondence, housingmanagement plans and health and safety records on the tenants file and otherhousing management records using QLx.
