Job summary

Langley Trust is recruiting a Residential Day Support Worker in West Yorkshire. This is a 6-month fixed-term, full-time role (37.5 hours per week). Shifts are 3 x 12.5 hours with weekend work on occasion.

You will support clients on their journey to reintegration, deliver programmes, manage risk, maintain records, and safeguard wellbeing. A DBS check and rights to work in the UK are required. We offer a supportive team and ongoing training.

Langley is delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a compassionate and motivated Residential Day Support Worker to join our friendly and dedicated team in West Yorkshire. This is a 6 month fixed term, full‑time position working 37.5 hours per week, where you’ll play a meaningful role in supporting our clients and contributing to our mission. This will be 3 x 12.5 hour shifts and will include some weekend work.

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of £27,879, recognising the value and impact of your work.

About the Role
  • Prepare for and induct new clients to assist positive outcomes. To assess clients in prison prior to release. To prepare clients for move on and help them with this.

  • Deliver programmes and key work sessions that promote reintegration and personal development within the premises.

  • Manage risk effectively by contributing to risk plans, monitoring compliance, and sharing updates at professional meetings.

  • Maintain daily operations including client entry/exit, record-keeping, and adherence to data protection and confidentiality standards.

  • Promote positive behaviour and compliance with rules and licence conditions, using pro-social modelling and fair enforcement.

  • Safeguard wellbeing and safety through referrals, mandatory testing, medication procedures, emergency response, and liaison with agencies.

  • Willingness to complete additional training as required by the needs of the service.

  • Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays and unsociable hours as part of a rota.
