Job summary

Niyaa People Ltd is seeking an experienced Housing Officer to cover Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole. The role blends home and office-based work with regular visits to communities, focusing on tenancy and neighbourhood management.

You’ll manage varied caseloads, investigate issues, and liaise with customers and partner agencies to progress actions and sustain tenancies across the area.

  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and housing management systems.

Job description

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established housing organisation for an experienced Housing Officer to join their team covering Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole.

This is a varied and rewarding opportunity for a Housing Officer who enjoys working directly with customers, managing complex housing issues and making a visible difference within local communities.

You will manage your own diary, combining home working, office-based working and regular visits to customers, neighbourhoods and partner agencies.

The Role

As a Housing Officer, you will manage a busy and varied caseload covering tenancy and neighbourhood management. This will include tenancy breaches, anti-social behaviour, safeguarding, tenancy fraud, tenancy changes, leasehold matters and wider neighbourhood issues.

You will take ownership of cases from initial investigation through to resolution, gathering evidence, working with customers and partner agencies, and progressing formal or legal action where required.

About You
