Job summary

Langley Trust in Bury is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join our compassionate team. You will provide keywork support, maintain client records, and assist with personal care as outlined in care plans. This permanent role offers a 37.5-hour week on 3x12.5 shifts, with some weekend work, and a salary of £25,592 per annum.

You’ll contribute to a safe, respectful environment, participate in team meetings, and support residents to live independently with dignity and choice.

This is a permanent, full-time position working 37.5 hours per week, where you’ll play a meaningful role in supporting our clients and contributing to our mission. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide keywork support (including acting as Key Worker where required), maintaining accurate client records and using the Langley Client File to review progress and promote independence.
• Contribute to a safe, well-run service by following medication procedures, supporting participation and client meetings/involvement (including complaints), supporting prospective/former residents, maintaining safe/tidy environments, and participating in rotas and team meetings.
• Provide personal care as identified in care plans (including supporting with hygiene, dressing, continence care, mobility/moving and handling, and supporting access to health and social care professionals) and keep health-related records and care plans up to date.
• Assess and manage risk and challenging behaviour by using; planning, de-escalation, and knowledge of our clients. Maintain service security and situational/physical safety measures, liaising with relevant stakeholders as needed.
