INDUQ1 Housing Officer - Redhill
Are you an experienced Housing Officer looking for an exciting temporary opportunity? We are currently recruiting for a dedicated Housing Officer to join a leading housing association in Redhill, Surrey, on a 3-month contract. This role offers a chance to make a real difference in the community by delivering a customer-focused housing management service.
Housing Officer Responsibilities
- Managing tenancy sign-ups, visits, annual checks, and terminations
- Processing successions, assignments, mutual exchanges, and tenancy conversions
- Handling neighbour disputes, tenancy breaches, and low-level anti-social behaviour cases
- Conducting estate, property, and pre-void inspections, as well as nominee viewings
- Supporting voids, relets, decants, and new build handovers
- Identifying vulnerabilities and making appropriate internal and external referrals
- Working closely with residents, local authorities, police, contractors, and support agencies
- Promoting resident engagement, self-service options, and community initiatives
- Supporting property safety compliance, including fire-door checks and Fire Risk Assessments
Housing Officer Candidate Requirements
- Previous frontline housing management, neighbourhood, or community development experience
- Confidence in managing customer queries and challenging situations
- Experience using housing management systems
- A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential)
- Basic Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) clearance
