Job summary

Home Group is looking for a community-focused housing officer to build trusted relationships with customers, manage housing issues from first contact to resolution, and lead early interventions for anti-social behaviour across Gateshead and Newcastle. You will inspect estates with contractors and collaborate with partners to protect income for reinvestment.

Qualifications

• Experience in housing management or similar customer-focused role.
• Confidence managing anti-social behaviour and complex customer situations.
• Knowledge of housing law, safeguarding and sustaining tenancies.
• Strong organisational skills and ownership from start to finish.
• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Build trusted relationships with customers across your patch and local communities.
• Take ownership of housing issues from first contact through to resolution.
• Manage anti-social behaviour cases early to keep neighbourhoods safe and welcoming.
• Carry out estate inspections and work with contractors to keep homes compliant.
