Job Title: Housing Disrepair Solicitor

Overview

We are working with a Manchester-based organisation seeking an experienced Housing Disrepair Solicitor to support their team on a locum basis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advising tenants on statutory and contractual repairing obligations under housing legislation.
  • Managing housing disrepair claims from initial instruction through to settlement or trial.
  • Drafting and responding to pre‑action correspondence in compliance with relevant protocols.
  • Instructing experts and analysing surveyor and medical evidence.
  • Issuing and progressing court proceedings, including drafting pleadings and schedules of loss.
  • Negotiating settlements and advising on damages, injunctions, and enforcement of repair works.
  • Liaising with landlords, local authorities, housing associations, and counsel.
Working Arrangement
  • Fully Remote

Rate
  • Competitive hourly rate (dependent on experience)
