Job summary

Swindon Borough Council is seeking a Housing Coordinator, Accounts to manage housing data in the housing management system and oversee rent and tenancy transactions. The role supports data accuracy, payments movement and inquiries, with a focus on safeguarding residents and providing robust financial administration.

Qualifications

• Experience with housing management systems and tenancy data is required.
• Ability to perform data downloads, quality checks and ensure accurate financial and tenancy records.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and risk management skills.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and safeguarding residents.

Responsibilities

• Update rent, leasehold and garage accounts on the housing management system, including charges and refunds.
• Move money between sub-accounts and review former tenant credits.
• Check suspense accounts and allocate payments to rent accounts.
• Write off low level arrears on former tenant accounts.
• Issue rent information cards for new tenancies.
• Advise and support other housing departments with tenancy creation/maintenance.
