Job summary

Quantum Care is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to join our new Furzewood Lodge care home in South Oxhey, Watford. You will maintain high cleanliness standards, ensuring residents live in a safe, comfortable and welcoming environment, with flexibility for weekdays and weekends.

The role offers 20–35 hours per week, with a competitive hourly rate and enhanced pay on weekends/Bank Holidays. Training and DBS check provided, with opportunities for progression within our growing community.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping or willingness to learn required.
• Positive, caring, respectful attitude towards residents.
• Excellent attention to detail and high cleaning standards.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures, hygiene and infection control.

Responsibilities

• Provide a full range of housekeeping duties: sanitising rooms, bathrooms, and communal areas; changing and making beds; safe waste disposal.
• Support with laundry duties including replenishing linen and supplies.
• Follow health and safety policies and procedures.

Contract: Full Time/Part Time- Perm

Hour: 20-35 hours per week

Pay: £13.08 per hour weekdays & £13.58 per hour weekends

Shift: 9am - 3pm/ 2pm to 8pm - Weekday and alternative Weekends

We are seeking a Housekeeper to join our newly opened purpose built Care Home Furzewood Lodge in South Oxhey, Watford. The 75 bed modern facility has been thoughtfully designed to provide an excellent working environment and state of the art home for residents. Nestled in the heart of South Oxhey, it offers a welcoming setting with excellent local amenities, green open spaces, and convenient transport links, creating a comfortable and well-connected environment for residents and staff alike.

As a Housekeeper you will maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the home, ensuring residents are safe, comfortable and have a welcoming tidy environment, through compassionate and person-centred approach to supporting residents' wellbeing.

What You’ll Bring

• You must have relevant experience or willing to learn the necessary skills.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• You’ll help create a homely and caring atmosphere for our residents and ensure the quality of their lives is maximised.
• Provide a full range of housekeeping and cleaning duties, ie sanitising rooms, bathrooms, communal areas and changing and making beds, with cored disposal of waste.
• Provide support with Laundry duties including replenishing linen and supplies

• Following health and safety policies and procedures.
