Quantum Care in St Albans is looking for a Housekeeper to maintain high cleanliness standards across the care home. The role includes cleaning, laundry support and creating a welcoming environment for residents. Shifts run 9am–2pm or 2pm–5pm with weekday and alternate weekend duties.

Contract is full time or part time on a permanent basis. Pay is £13.08 per hour on weekdays and £13.58 per hour on weekends, with an 81-bed home and a supportive team.

• A positive, caring, and respectful attitude towards residents.
• Excellent attention to detail and high cleaning standards.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures, hygiene, and infection control.
• The ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Reliability, flexibility, and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• You’ll help create a homely and caring atmosphere for our residents and ensure the quality of their lives is maximised.
• Provide a full range of housekeeping and cleaning duties, i.e. sanitising rooms, bathrooms, communal areas and changing and making beds, with correct disposal of waste.
• Provide support with Laundry duties including replenishing linen and supplies
• Following health and safety policies and procedures.

We are seeking a Housekeeper to join our Care Home in St Albans. Fosse House is a 81 bed residential care home offering residential, dementia, respite and day care services, with beautifully landscaped gardens, a vibrant activities programme, and a warm, person-centred environment that helps residents live life to the fullest.

As a Housekeeper you will maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the home, ensuring residents are safe, comfortable and have a welcoming tidy environment, through compassionate and person-centred approach to supporting resident’s wellbeing.

Contract: Full Time/Part Time - Perm

Hour: 20-35 hours per week

Pay: £13.08 per hour weekdays & £13.58 per hour weekends
