Contract: Full Time/Part Time - Perm

Hour: 20-35 hours per week

Pay: £13.61 per hour weekdays & £14.61 per hour weekends

Shift Times: 7.30am to 2.30pm/2.30pm to 9.30pm – Weekdays and alternative Weekends

We are seeking a Care Assistant to join our newly opened purpose built Care Home Furzewood Lodge in South Oxhey, Watford. The 75 bed modern facility has been thoughtfully designed to provide an excellent working environment and state of the art home for residents. Nestled in the heart of South Oxhey, it offers a welcoming setting with excellent local amenities, green open spaces, and convenient transport links, creating a comfortable and well-connected environment for residents and staff alike.

Exciting developments are underway at Pinewood Lodge, which will soon relocate to a brand-new, purpose-built care home in the South Oxhey area at Furzewood Lodge Care Home. The modern facility has been thoughtfully designed to provide an excellent working environment and will include a newly fitted, fully equipped commercial kitchen.

As a Care Assistant, you will provide compassionate person-cantered care and support residents with respect and dignity to maintain independence.

What You’ll Bring

• It is not necessary to have previous experience of working in a similar care environment because, as long as you are an empathetic individual who has a positive attitude and good communication skills, our first-class training will do the rest.
• You will be able to undertake all aspects of caring for older people with compassion and respect in order to meet the physical, emotional and social needs of our residents.
• Our staff have access to first class induction training and ongoing learning and development opportunities including the opportunity to work towards industry recognised qualifications.
• Our Homes operate on a 24/7, 365-day basis therefore you will need to be able to work shifts (including weekends, evenings and Bank Holidays).
• You must be aged 18 years or over to apply for this job.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Providing personal care and support, including assistance with washing, dressing, grooming and toileting, as well as assisting with meals, hydration and nutritional care.
• Assisting residents with daily activities promoting independence
• Building positive and professional relationships with residents, families and colleagues
• Follow individual personalised care plans
• Working as a part of a team to deliver high quality of person- centred care
