Job summary

Quantum Care is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper at Melwood Grange Care Home in Royston. You will maintain high cleanliness standards across the home, ensuring residents live in a safe, comfortable and welcoming environment with a compassionate, person-centred approach.

You will handle housekeeping tasks, laundry support, and waste disposal, following health and safety policies. Weekday hours 9am-4.30pm; 30-35 hours per week, with some weekend shifts.

• Relevant experience or willingness to learn.
• Positive, caring, and respectful attitude towards residents.
• Excellent attention to detail and high cleaning standards.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures, hygiene and infection control.
• The ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

• You'll help create a homely and caring atmosphere for our residents and ensure the quality of their lives is maximised.
• Provide a full range of housekeeping and cleaning duties, i.e. sanitising rooms, bathrooms, communal areas and changing and making beds, with correct disposal of waste.
• Provide support with Laundry duties including replenishing linen and supplies
• Following health and safety policies and procedures.

Contract: Full Time - Perm

Hour: 30-35 hours per week

Pay: £12.71 per hour weekdays & £13.21 per hour weekends

Shift: 9am - 4.30pm - Weekday and alternative Weekends

We are seeking a Housekeeper to join our welcoming team at Melwood Grange Care Home in Royston. A luxury, 73 bed purpose-built care home set in the Hertfordshire countryside, Melwood Grange offers exceptional care in stylish surroundings, with premium facilities including a cinema, café, hair and beauty salon, and beautifully landscaped gardens.

As a Housekeeper you will maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the home, ensuring residents are safe, comfortable and have a welcoming tidy environment, through compassionate and person-centred approach to supporting resident's wellbeing.
