Job summary

Quantum Care in Oxhey, Watford is seeking a Housekeeper to join our care home. The role covers 20–35 hours per week with a pay rate of £13.08 on weekdays and £13.58 on weekends, with shifts 9am–3pm or 2pm–8pm on Weekdays and alternate weekends.

You will maintain high cleanliness standards, support with laundry, and help create a warm, safe environment for residents. This is a vital role in a not-for-profit home delivering compassionate care.

Responsibilities

• You'll help create a homely and caring atmosphere for our residents and ensure the quality of their lives is maximised.
• Provide a full range of housekeeping and cleaning duties, i.e. sanitising rooms, bathrooms, communal areas and changing and making beds, with correct disposal of waste.
• Provide support with Laundry duties including replenishing linen and supplies.
• Following health and safety policies and procedures.

Exciting developments are underway at Pinewood Lodge, which will soon relocate to a brand-new, purpose-built care home in the South Oxhey area at Furzewood Lodge Care Home. The modern facility has been thoughtfully designed to provide an excellent working environment and will include a newly fitted, fully equipped commercial kitchen.

As a Housekeeper you will maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the home, ensuring residents are safe, comfortable and have a welcoming tidy environment, through compassionate and person-centred approach to supporting resident's wellbeing.
