Job summary

Quantum Care is seeking a Housekeeper for Riverside Lodge Care Home in Rickmansworth. The role involves maintaining high standards of cleanliness across a luxury 75-bed home offering residential, dementia and respite care.

You will help create a welcoming atmosphere and support resident wellbeing with a compassionate approach. The position is full-time with 35 hours per week, offering weekday and alternate weekend shifts and enhanced pay on weekends and Bank Holidays.

Qualifications

• Relevant housekeeping experience or willingness to learn required.
• Positive, caring, and respectful attitude toward residents.
• Excellent attention to detail and high cleaning standards.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures, hygiene and infection control.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Reliability, flexibility and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high cleanliness standards throughout the home.
• Ensure residents are safe, comfortable and have a welcoming environment.
• Provide full housekeeping and cleaning duties (rooms, bathrooms, communal areas, beds).
• Assist with laundry duties and supply replenishment.
• Follow health and safety policies and procedures.

This luxury 75-bed care home offers exceptional residential, dementia and respite care in elegant surroundings, featuring stylish lounges and dining areas, a hair and beauty salon, cinema, café, spacious en‑suite bedrooms, and beautifully landscaped gardens, all in the heart of Rickmansworth

As a Housekeeper you will maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the home, ensuring residents are safe, comfortable and have a welcoming tidy environment, through compassionate and person‑centred approach to supporting resident’s wellbeing.

What You’ll Bring

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• You’ll help create a homely and caring atmosphere for our residents and ensure the quality of their lives is maximised.
• Provide a full range of housekeeping and cleaning duties, ie sanitising rooms, bathrooms, communal areas and changing and making beds, with cored disposal of waste.
• Provide support with Laundry duties including replenishing linen and supplies
• Following health and safety policies and procedures.
