Job summary

Cornwall Staff Agency Ltd is recruiting on behalf of a well-established hotel in East Devon for a friendly Hotel Receptionist to join the team. The role involves managing bookings, answering calls, handling emails and delivering outstanding customer service at a welcoming reception.

Shifts include early and late hours, 5 days over 7 with weekend work; start ASAP. Salary £24,784.50 per year with training provided.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4 or equivalent.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to learn and provide outstanding customer service.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Confident with computer systems; familiarity with hotel booking systems is a plus.
• Flexible, able to adapt to shifts including weekends.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Manage hotel bookings accurately and efficiently.
• Answer calls in a friendly and professional manner.
• Respond to emails and pass messages to relevant departments.
• Carry out general administrative duties, including hotel banking.
• Provide welcoming, professional service to guests.
• Maintain a clean reception area and equipment in good order.
• Follow health and safety and other relevant policies.
• Work with other departments for smooth day-to-day operations.
