Job summary

Devomn Hotel in Exeter is seeking a warm, professional Hotel Receptionist to be at the heart of the guest experience. You’ll welcome guests, answer inquiries and help ensure every stay starts smoothly, handling calls, bookings and front-desk tasks with a calm, smiling approach.

This full-time role offers £12.90 per hour for 30–37.5 hours per week, paid holiday and generous gratuities. Training will be provided; prior reception or admin experience is helpful but not essential.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Professional, approachable and adaptable.
• Excellent numeracy and computer skills, including use of Microsoft software.

Responsibilities

• Greeting and assisting visitors and clients in a professional manner.
• Managing incoming and outgoing calls, directing them to the appropriate person or department.
• Handling mail, deliveries, and couriers.
• Using booking systems for accommodation and our restaurant.
• Performing general administrative tasks such as data entry, hotel banking, filing, and photocopying.
• Maintaining a tidy and presentable reception area.
