Job summary

Hyatt Hotels Corporation's Great Scotland Yard Hotel in Westminster is hiring for a Host/ess role. The position offers flexible hours (0–40 per week) with shifts arranged to fit availability, giving you opportunities to earn extra income while developing service skills in a luxury setting.

Experience in premium hospitality is preferred, with a focus on welcoming guests, managing reservations, and delivering high-quality dining experiences.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional service, creating memorable dining experiences through prompt, professional, and attentive care.
• Provide a warm and genuine welcome to all guests, ensuring they feel comfortable and valued throughout their visit.
• Manage restaurant reservations and guest inquiries efficiently, maintaining accurate booking records and supporting a smooth guest journey.
• Ensure menus are presented to guests and maintain excellent knowledge of dining experiences, menus and special events to confidently assist with guest requests.
• Inspect and prepare seating areas, ensuring tables are clean, correctly set and ready for service at all times.
• Support the restaurant team by clearing and resetting tables, assisting with service where required, and helping to maintain smooth operations during busy periods.
• Follow departmental standard operating procedures to consistently uphold high service standards.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support smooth operations and efficient service delivery.

Great Scotland Yard Hotel, part of The Unbound Collection by Hyatt, is a luxury hotel steeped in history, located just moments from Covent Garden and around the corner from Trafalgar Square in the heart of Westminster.

About You

Previous experience in a similar role within the premium hospitality segment is preferred. You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to anticipate guest needs and go the extra mile to exceed expectations.
