Job summary

Hyatt Hotels Corporation is seeking a Barback to support bartenders and maintain an efficient, guest-focused bar area at our London property. The role offers flexi hours with varied shifts, and a pay rate of £13.10 per hour plus service charge, with opportunities to develop skills in premium hospitality.

Available hours range from 0 to 40 per week, and you will work with a team delivering high standards of service in a luxury hotel setting near Covent Garden.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role within the premium hospitality segment is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Ability to anticipate guest needs and go the extra mile to ensure satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Support bartenders during service and help deliver seamless guest experiences.
• Restock spirits, mixers, glassware, ice and bar supplies during shifts.
• Prepare garnishes and maintain bar mise en place for smooth operations.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across bar and back-of-house areas.
• Assist with stock deliveries, storage and inventory management, rotating products.
• Wash, polish and replenish glassware to ensure adequate supplies during service.
• Monitor stock levels and communicate replenishment needs to the bar team.
• Assist with basic drink preparation during busy periods.
• Keep workspaces tidy and manage waste and recycling.

Duties and responsibilities related to the Barback - Flexi Hours role

• Support bartenders during service, helping to deliver efficient and seamless guest experiences.
• Restock spirits, mixers, glassware, ice and other bar supplies throughout shifts.
• Prepare garnishes, refill ice bins and maintain bar mise en place to support smooth operations.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation and hygiene across all bar and back-of-house areas.
• Assist with stock deliveries, storage and inventory management, ensuring products are rotated and stored correctly.
• Wash, polish and replenish glassware to ensure adequate supplies are available during service.
• Monitor stock levels and communicate replenishment requirements to the bar team.
• Support with basic drink preparation and ingredient retrieval during busy service periods.
• Manage waste and recycling, keeping workspaces, storage areas and service stations safe and tidy.
• Work collaboratively with bartenders and colleagues to uphold excellent service standards and create memorable guest experiences.

About You

Previous experience in a similar role within the premium hospitality segment is preferred. You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to anticipate guest needs and go the extra mile to exceed expectations.
