Great Scotland Yard Hotel, part of The Unbound Collection by Hyatt, is seeking a Host/ess to deliver warm, attentive service in a luxury setting close to Covent Garden.

You will welcome guests, manage reservations, present menus, and support a smooth dining experience. The role offers flexible shifts, up to 40 hours per week, and a pay rate of £13.10 per hour plus service charge.

• Previous experience in a similar role within the premium hospitality segment is preferred.

Responsibilities

Duties And Responsibilities Related To The Host/ess Role

• Deliver exceptional service, creating memorable dining experiences through prompt, professional, and attentive care.
• Provide a warm and genuine welcome to all guests, ensuring they feel comfortable and valued throughout their visit.
• Manage restaurant reservations and guest enquiries efficiently, maintaining accurate booking records and supporting a smooth guest journey.
• Ensure menus are presented to guests and maintain excellent knowledge of dining experiences, menus and special events to confidently assist with guest requests.
• Inspect and prepare seating areas, ensuring tables are clean, correctly set and ready for service at all times.
• Support the restaurant team by clearing and resetting tables, assisting with service where required, and helping to maintain smooth operations during busy periods.
• Follow departmental standard operating procedures to consistently uphold high service standards.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support smooth operations and efficient service delivery.

About You

Previous experience in a similar role within the premium hospitality segment is preferred. You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to anticipate guest needs and go the extra mile to exceed expectations.
