Job summary

Great Scotland Yard Hotel, part of The Unbound Collection by Hyatt, is seeking a Barback to support the bar team with flexi hours, assisting wait staff and keeping supplies stocked. The role offers varied shifts and an opportunity to learn premium hospitality skills in a luxury setting.

You will restock spirits, glassware and ice, prepare garnishes, maintain bar mise en place, ensure cleanliness and help with inventory and waste management while delivering guest-focused service.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role within the premium hospitality segment is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to anticipate guest needs and go the extra mile to exceed expectations.

Responsibilities

• Support bartenders during service to deliver efficient guest experiences.
• Restock spirits, mixers, glassware, ice and bar supplies throughout shifts.
• Prepare garnishes, refill ice bins and maintain bar mise en place to support smooth operations.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation and hygiene across all bar and back-of-house areas.
• Assist with stock deliveries, storage and inventory management, ensuring products are rotated and stored correctly.
• Wash, polish and replenish glassware to ensure adequate supplies are available during service.
• Monitor stock levels and communicate replenishment requirements to the bar team.
• Support with basic drink preparation and ingredient retrieval during busy service periods.
• Manage waste and recycling, keeping workspaces, storage areas and service stations safe and tidy.
• Work collaboratively with bartenders and colleagues to uphold excellent service standards and create memorable guest experiences.
