Job summary

The Hoxton in Edinburgh is seeking a warm, proactive front-of-house host to deliver memorable hospitality experiences. You will greet guests, handle enquiries, and assist with reservations, payments, and smooth departures.

You will thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative team, enjoy helping guests feel welcome, and share our passion for creating great hospitality experiences across the Hoxton brand.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a busy front-of-house role and ability to make guests feel welcome and looked after.
• Excellent guest service mindset with a positive, can-do attitude.
• Experience handling reservations, phones and cash/card payments.

Responsibilities

• Provide a genuinely welcoming and memorable experience for guests with a warm greeting and assistance with requests.
• Manage guest arrivals/departures, ensure accurate bills with no surprises.
• Collaborate with teams to manage busy periods and assist with individual and group reservations.

What you'll do...

• Provide a genuinely welcoming and memorable experience for our guests, from a Hox welcome, to handling any questions and helping out with requests.
• Deal with the coming and going of guests, making sure all bills are correct and contain no surprises.
• Work with all our teams to make sure we're always busy and help our restaurant team with any individual and group bookings.
• Answer phones, sort out requests, give recommendations - you're the one-stop-shop for our guests to turn to.
• Take reservations over the phone, handle cash and card payments and help out the team on the floor.
• Master the use of the online reservation system and be sure to add all necessary information to reservations.
• Anticipate needs and proactively provide solutions so that our guests' expectations are not only met but exceeded.
