The Hoxton Holborn is seeking an outgoing Apartment Host to welcome guests and ensure a memorable experience across the Group, Meetings and Events spaces.

You will manage meeting room logistics, assist with events, coordinate food and beverage, and collaborate with hotel teams. This role suits someone who is organised, people-focused and comfortable with tech.

Responsabilités

• Provide a genuinely welcoming and memorable experience for guests.
• Gatekeeper for meeting room logistics and agendas.
• Maintain meeting room areas and ensure rooms are set up.
• Assist with billing/check-in/out for events.
• Ensure food & beverage in spaces is high quality.
• Collaborate with hotel team to deliver great guest experiences.
• Assist with light admin tasks and basic tech setup.

The Hoxton, Holborn was the second Hox to join the fam, taking over a Grade II-listed building that was once the factory of George Kent, a famed maker of gadgets and instruments (among them a knife sharpener/cleaner now sitting in the Science Museum, no less).

After Kent, BT moved in, and now this former telephone exchange is home to 220 bedrooms and the Apartment, plus our foodie hotspot Rondo. All a stone’s throw from the capital’s most famous shopping and entertainment districts.

We’re looking for an outgoing Apartment Host to join us. If you get a kick out of creating an unforgettable experience for guests, then this is the job for you. The Apartment is part of our Group, Meetings and Events spaces which is managed by our Sales team and F&B department.

Job Description

What you’ll do…

• Provide a genuinely welcoming and memorable experience for our guests, from a Hox welcome, to handling any questions and helping out with requests
• You’re our gatekeeper for our meeting room logistics. You know who’s who and what’s what.
• Maintain the meeting room area, ensuring all rooms are set up correctly and kept tidy at all time.
• You keep on top of our meeting room maintenance and ensuring all the rooms are set up correctly, ensuring billing and checking in and out for events are smooth.
• You make sure the food and beverage in the space is top notch at all times, and our guests have everything they need.
• You work closely with the rest of the hotel team to ensure you are providing a great experience for our guests, from first contact to when they leave, and beyond.
• And yes, there’s a little admin… Some expenses, some lists and a stationary order or two. But let’s face it, we know you love that!
• Tech? No issue. You know your HDMI from your USB and your Mac from a PC. Or, if you’re a technophobe (like some of us!) you’re willing to sink your teeth in and learn the ropes. It is the 21stcentury after all…

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a busy Front of House role; you genuinely care about making people feel welcome and looked after
• Individuals. You’re looking for a place where you can be you; no clones in suits here
• Passion for hospitality – whether that’s a drink, a meal, an event or a bed for the night
• You’re all about having a positive impact on the people you interact with, leaving them with a memorable experience
• You’re not precious. We leave our egos at the door and help get it done
• You’re up for doing things differently and trying (almost) everything once
• If we got stuck in a lift together we’d have a good time and share a few laughs
• You want to be part of a team that works hard, supports each other and has fun along the way
• You are scarily organised, have the ability to multi-task and spin a million plates in the air at one time, prioritise and re-prioritise as things come in
• Nothing is an issue for you - you know what our guests want even before they do.
• Someone who’s great at growing and nurturing long lasting relationships; people are naturally drawn to working with you.
• You pay attention to the details and care about creating great work.
