Job summary

John Lewis Partnership is seeking a Technician Specialist to join a 2-person delivery crew, installing furniture, appliances and TVs at customers’ homes. You’ll drive a 7.5-tonne vehicle, coach peers, and ensure outstanding service while representing John Lewis.

Responsibilities include loading deliveries, maintaining safety, and staying current with product knowledge. Role requires heavy lifting and pre-employment vetting as needed. Flexible hours and progression opportunities offered.

Qualifications

• Hold a Manual C1 UK driving licence (max 6 points).
• DCPC/Driver Qualification Card required by day one, Tachograph Card.
• Experience driving a 7.5-tonne vehicle and delivering to customers.
• Previous customer-facing experience is essential.
• Strong verbal communication and tech understanding.
• Able to safely lift heavy items and handle loads.

Responsibilities

• Be an ambassador for the John Lewis brand with top customer service.
• Coach and develop delivery driver colleagues in your team.
• Load lorries with daily deliveries alongside warehouse colleagues.
• Respect customers’ homes and manage unexpected issues to reach the best solution.
• Install products efficiently and demonstrate operation to customers.
• Stay up to date with new products/technologies to perform at your best.
• Maintain a safe working environment.
