Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care – including washing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Assist with mobility – helping clients move around their home safely.
  • Support with medication – prompting or administering prescribed medication as needed.
  • Meal preparation – preparing and serving nutritious meals and drinks.
  • Household tasks – light cleaning, laundry, and helping maintain a safe, tidy environment.
  • Companionship – offering friendly conversation, emotional support, and social interaction.
  • Help with errands – including shopping, attending appointments, and collecting prescriptions.
  • Monitor and record care – keeping accurate records of visits, changes in health, and reporting any concerns to senior staff.
  • Respect privacy and dignity – always upholding the rights, choices, and confidentiality of each client.
  • Follow care plans – working in line with individual care plans and health & safety procedures.
