Job summary

Hales Homecare in Gateshead is seeking a Home Care Assistant to support clients at home with personalised, compassionate care and a welcoming team environment.

Paid training is provided by our Internal Training Team to help you build confidence from day one. A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are required.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping others and committed to delivering high-quality care and support
• Reliable and honest team player with a positive attitude
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written
• No experience necessary, we have had people join from hospitality, retail, and customer service backgrounds
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills

Responsibilities

• Assisting with personal care routines (washing, dressing, toileting)
• Supporting medication and meal preparation
• Helping with light domestic tasks and grocery needs
• Providing companionship and emotional support

Home Care Assistant - Gateshead

• Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour + mileage at £0.30 per mile & travel time at £12.71 per hour
• Shift Pattern: Two-week 4/3 rota - Week one: Mon, Tues, Sat, Sun; Week two: Wed, Thurs, Fri
• Working Hours: 7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm
• Areas Covered: Gateshead, NE10, NE9, NE8, DH3, NE16, NE11, NE40, NE39, NE17, and NE21
• No experience necessary - paid training and induction to ensure you feel confident in your role.
• Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is required.
• PLEASE NOTE, WE ARE CURRENTLY UNABLE TO ACCEPT APPLICATIONS FROM INDIVIDUALS REQUIRING A TIER 2 CERTIFICATE OF SPONSORSHIP.
