Job summary

Hales Homecare in Gateshead is seeking a Home Care Assistant to help people live independently in their own homes across Gateshead and surrounding areas. No experience is required as full training and induction are provided, with generous pay and flexible hours.

You will assist with personal care, meal preparation, medication reminders and companionship, making a real difference in people’s daily lives while working as part of a supportive team.

Qualifications

• No experience required – paid training and induction to ensure you feel confident in your role.
• A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is ideal.
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills

Home Care Assistant – Based in Gateshead.

Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour + mileage at £0.30 per mile & travel time at £12.71 per hour. Hours: 4/3 shift pattern & alternate weekends. Areas Covered: Gateshead, NE10, NE9, NE8, DH3, NE16, NE11, NE40, NE39, NE17, and NE21. No experience necessary – paid training and induction to ensure you feel confident in your role. A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is ideal. Walking routes available.

Your Role as a Home Care Assistant

As a Home Care Assistant, you’ll support individuals in Gateshead to live independently in the comfort of their own homes. Every visit is an opportunity to make someone’s day brighter and yours more fulfilling.

Responsibilities include

• Assisting with personal care routines (washing, dressing, toileting)

• Helping with light domestic tasks and grocery needs
