Job summary

Hales Homecare in Peterborough is seeking Home Care Assistants to help individuals live independently in their own homes. No experience is required as full paid training is provided by our Internal Training Team.

Join our team to provide care, companionship, and practical support while earning £12.71 per hour plus mileage. A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are required. Training, progression, and benefits are included.

Based in Peterborough – Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour + mileage at £0.30 per mile & travel time at £12.71 per hour. Shift: Sundays, 0700 - 1400. No experience necessary – paid training and induction to ensure you feel confident in your role. A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is required.

Your Role as a Home Care Assistant

As a Home Care Assistant, you’ll support individuals in Peterborough to live independently in the comfort of their own homes. Every visit is an opportunity to make someone’s day brighter and yours more fulfilling.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with personal care routines (washing, dressing, toileting)
• Supporting medication and meal preparation
• Helping with light domestic tasks and grocery needs

Requirements

• Passionate about helping others and committed to delivering high-quality care and support
• A reliable and honest team player with a positive attitude
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written
• No experience necessary, we have had people join from hospitality, retail, and customer service backgrounds
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills
