Job summary

Hales Homecare is seeking a Home Care Assistant in Newcastle to support clients at home. The role involves helping with daily routines, personal care, meal prep, and light household tasks. Training is provided, no prior experience required, and you’ll work as part of a compassionate team.

Pay is £12.71 per hour with mileage paid at 30p per mile and travel time paid at the same hourly rate. Full-time structure with a two-week rota and multiple shifts available.

Home Care Assistant

Based in Newcastle

Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour + mileage at £0.30 per mile & travel time at £12.71 per hourShift Pattern: Two-week 4/3 rota - Week one: Mon, Tues, Sat, Sun, Week two: Weds, Thurs, Fri

Working Hours: 7am – 3pm, 3pm – 11pm

Areas Covered: Newcastle, Quayside, NE15

No experience necessary – paid training and induction to ensure you feel confident in your role.

A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is ideal.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with personal care routines (washing, dressing, toileting)
• Supporting medication and meal preparation
• Helping with light domestic tasks and grocery needs
