Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to service members across the UK from a home base. You’ll perform roadside diagnostics, emergency repairs, and vehicle support, starting and finishing at your driveway.

The role requires a Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification and 2+ years’ post-qualification experience, plus a full UK driving licence. Enjoy a market-competitive base salary with a realistic OTE and variety in daily calls, supported by a company van, tools, and gear.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with at least 2 years post-qualification technical experience

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and finish days at home; demanding shifts with approximately 40 hours per week and optional overtime.
• Cover Scarborough area with local deployment across the UK as required.
• Utilise RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, essential tools and diagnostic kit provided.
