Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join the Patrol division. You’ll perform mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support for members across the UK, often starting and finishing from home.

With an NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or 2+ years' experience) and a full UK driving licence, you’ll be part of a trusted team delivering quick, confident solutions on the roadside.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and finish your day at home, with demand-led shifts averaging about 40 hours per week and optional overtime.
