Job summary

RAC is recruiting a Roadside Technician to join our Patrol division. You’ll diagnose, repair and assist members roadside across the UK, starting from home and finishing in your local area. The role combines hands-on mechanical work with great customer service in a fast-paced environment. You’ll need an NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance, 5+ years of experience, and a full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points. RAC provides a van, tools and ongoing support for success.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical roadside repairs and diagnostics for members.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Work from home base with local area travel to roadside calls.
• Deliver excellent member service and maintain RAC standards.
