Job summary

RAC is looking for a Roadside Technician to join the Patrol division. You will diagnose faults, perform mechanical roadside repairs, and support members across the UK. Start and finish at home with demand-led shifts around 40 hours per week and optional overtime.

You’ll operate mainly in the Bromley cluster, serving local members and returning vehicles to the road quickly. You’ll receive a RAC van, fuel card, tools, uniform, and diagnostic kit from day one.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics.
• Support emergency breakdowns across the UK.
• Deliver quick, confident solutions and reassurance to RAC members.
