Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join our Patrol division, covering local clusters in the UK. The role requires a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) and 2+ years’ experience, or 5+ years in a similar role, plus a full UK driving licence with under 6 points.

You’ll deliver fast diagnostics and roadside repairs, starting and finishing from your home base. You’ll operate with a RAC van, fuel card, uniform, tools and diagnostic kit, serving members across the UK

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and finish your day at home while addressing roadside challenges and keeping RAC members moving.
